What’s Your Type?

As a Leo, I will gladly out my exes for the greater good.

To make the most of my colorful dating history, each of these modern dating conundrums is inspired by a different ex.

  • Anxious Girlfriend, Avoidant Boyfriend Paradigm

This is a classic. It’s one of the most common dynamics: one partner craves closeness and reassurance while the other retreats into emotional distance.

This is the girlfriend who is finely attuned to emotional and vibe shifts, always checking in and seeking validation, and the boyfriend pulling away when the pressure for intimacy builds.

I help clients navigate this push-pull dynamic by fostering understanding, communication, and emotional balance.

  • The Overburdened Partner

Are you tired of feeling like your boyfriend's personal caretaker instead of his partner?

This is the girlfriend who reminds him to pay bills, organizes his life, and picks up the emotional slack, while he might exhibit weaponized incompetence and depends on her for basic adulting tasks. The girlfriend feels drained from being the default decision-maker and support system. (PS- In dating, this might look like doing girlfriend duties before becoming the girlfriend.)

In our work together, we’ll explore how to approach dating in a way that allows both partners to step fully into their adult roles without leaning on each other for things only a mother should do.

  • Casual and Confused

When "keeping it casual" turns into emotional ambiguity. This conundrum tackles the struggle of undefined relationships, where you're not sure where you stand but don't want to rock the boat.

We’ll work closely to help you move beyond ambiguous relationships and step into dating with clear communication, defined boundaries, and mutual understanding of what you're both looking for.

My Approach

Image shows Rae Weiss smiling at the camera, brick wall behind her

As a dating coach and psychology MA student at Columbia University in my 20s, I know that modern dating is nothing if not unpredictable and messy. I understand both the psychology behind modern dating and the reality of what it actually feels like to live through it.

My approach isn't about following scripts or "fixing" yourself. It's about:

✔ Naming what's actually happening (not what you wish was happening)

✔ Understanding your attachment patterns (anxious, avoidant, and everything in between)

✔ Closing the gap between what you want and what you're tolerating

✔ Building clarity in relationships that thrive on ambiguity

Whether you're single and exhausted by apps, stuck in a situationship, partnered and navigating conflict, or happily boy sober—I'm here to help you figure out what you actually want and how to ask for it without apologizing.

This isn't therapy. It's strategic, psychology-informed coaching for the relationships you're actually having.

Your partner in building a better love life.
